Chelsea in pole position to sign 22-year-old Serie A forward

Fiorentina Owner Rocco Commisso claims that winger Federico Chiesa can depart from the club for the right price in the upcoming transfer window.

Since turning professional at Viola, the 22-year-old Italy international forward has found back of the net 29 times from 139 games in all competitions, a return which has also earned him international recognition with Italy.

Chelsae and Manchester Utd are among the teams believed to be interested in securing the services of a talented playmaker, and Commisso has suggested that he may be prepared to do business later in 2020.

Speaking at a press conference, Commisso said: “If Chiesa wants, then he can leave, but only for the figure that we set.”

The 22-year-old forward, who has two years left on his current deal at the club, has previously claimed that he is prepared to stay in Florence for one more season.

Meanwhile, Manchester United have reportedly agreed on a £62m deal with Lyon for Chelsea-linked forward Moussa Dembele.

The West London club have been heavily linked with a move for the ex-Celtic man, but the Red Devils are believed to have won the race for Dembele’s services ahead of the 2020/21 season.

The 23-year-old Frenchman enjoyed a stellar season with the Ligue 1 giants before the current campaign was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic, with Dembele managed to score 16 goals in 27 appearences for Lyon
