Barcelona joined Chelsea in their pursuit of Alex Telles

La Liga giants Barcelona have reportedly identified Porto full-back, Alex Telles, as a potential transfer target ahead of the next summer’s transfer window.

Having enhanced his reputation with the Portuguese heavyweights, the Brazil international defender is regarded as an attractive option due to just over a year left on his current deal.

With one of Emerson Palmieri and Marcos Alonso expected to depart from Stamford Bridge this summer, Frank Lampard is believed to be keen on securing the services of the new left-back.

However, according to reports from Spain, the Catalan club are contemplating whether joining the race for the 27-year-old Brazilian defender.

The speculation has emerged despite Barcelona having both Junior Firpo and Jordi Alba at their disposal.

Porto are likely to demand fee around £35m for Brazilian defender, who has managed to found back of the net eight times and provided five assists in 23 league games this campaign.

Chelsea top transfer target at left-back position is believed to be Leicester City’s full-back Ben Chilwell, however, the Foxes are believed to demanding around £80m for his signature and Alex Telles seems to be a cheaper option for the Blues, however, they will face stiff competition from Barcelona to secure the services of Brazilian defender.
