Chelsea planning summer move for 27-year-old South American Forward

Chelsea could reportedly make a summer for Inter Milan forward Mauro Icardi as he faces an uncertain future after an impressive campaign at Paris Saint-Germain after joining them on loan deal.

The 27-year-old has an impressive 19 goals in all appearences for Ligue 1 defending champions this campaign, despite struggling to hit his usual high standards at San Siro giants the previous year.

It stays to be seen what will happen to Argentine forward now. However, FC Inter News suggest the Blues are among the teams interested in him and weighing up a summer move.

The report suggests PSG have the option to make South American forward’s move permanent, however, it is not yet certain that they’ll do so, and this could give the Blues an opportunity to swoop for his services instead.

The West London club look in need of more firepower up front next campaign, with England international forward Tammy Abraham struggling with the expectation of being fast-tracked into becoming first choice at the West London club.

Meanwhile, Michy Batshuayi and Olivier Giroud haven’t had many opportunities this season and expected to leave the team in the summer.

Icardi will go straight in the starting XI at Chelsea if he decides to make a move to Stamford Bridge.
