Chelsea have reportedly reached an agreement to secure the services of Ajax attacking midfielder, Hakim Ziyech from Ajax and Morocco international will join the Blues in the summer after the end of the 2019/20 season.
After failing to make any new addition during the winter transfer window Ziyech could be Lampard’s first signing at Stamford Bridge, the 26-year-old is reportedly top of his shortlist ahead of the summer.
And according to De Telegraaf, the West London club have a verbal agreement in place with the Dutch champions to lure Ziyech at Stamford Bridge at the end of the current campaign.
The report suggests that advanced negotiations have taken place yesterday and the Blues have agreed to pay a €45 million (£37.8m) for his signature.
It’s also reported that there is still the possibility for Ajax playmaker to change his mind as a deal has not been signed, however, only Blues so far have been negotiating with Dutch giants and they have not been interested in holding talks with other teams.
Ziyech has been a vital player at Ajax over the past two campaigns with founding back of the net 29 times and providing 45 assists in 78 games.
The creative playmaker helped Dutch giants to win the Eredivisie and the Dutch Cup last season and was instrumental in helping them to reach the impressive Champions League semi-final.
This campaign, Ziyech has already played against the Blues twice in the Champions League and provided three assists in the 4-4 draw at Stamford Bridge.
