Agent Joao Santos has suggested that Jorginho sees his long-term future at Chelsea.
After signing from Napoli last summer, Jorginho endured a mixed first campaign at Stamford Bridge, despite featuring regularly under Maurizio Sarri.
However, the Italy international has been provided with more flexibility in the middle of the park under Frank Lampard, leading to his representative to claim that the 27-year-old could remain in West London until 2023.
Santos told Radio Kiss Kiss: “We have mid-to-long-term project with Chelsea, similar to when he joined Hellas Verona and then Napoli. There are five years left on his contract and let’s say he’d like to stay for at least another four years.”
Jorginho has started in each of Chelsea’s five matches since Lampard’s arrival.
Meanwhile, the Blues are confident that Callum Hudson-Odoi will sign a new long-term contract with the club.
The 18-year-old, who is yet to feature for the Blues this season due to an Achilles injury, will see his current deal with Frank Lampard’s side expire at the end of the 2019-20 campaign.
Chelsea are reportedly preparing to hand the youngster a new five-year contract which could be worth in the region of £180,000 a week to reflect his importance to the club.
