Rhian Brewster has playfully told Chelsea star Callum Hudson-Odoi to join him at Liverpool.
Hudson-Odoi, 18, is rated as one of the most promising young players in Europe, having enjoyed a breakthrough season at Chelsea last year.
The teenage forward made 24 first-team appearances for the Blues before his season was cut short due to a serious ankle injury. Hudson-Odoi is closing in on a return and posted a video of himself performing some tricks in Chelsea’s 2019-20 kit last week.
The England international has been locked in talks with Chelsea over a new contract and Blues loanee Trevoh Chalobah replied to the tweet with: ‘Sign it.’ Brewster, who has played with Hudson-Odoi regularly with England’s under-age groups, then responded: ‘At Liverpool.’
Speaking at the end of last month, Hudson-Odoi insisted his injury rehabilitation was going well and suggested he could return to action following the international break.
Speaking to Sky Sports, he said: ‘Recovery has gone really well, I feel good so hopefully, I’ll be back after the international break.
‘It was something that I was scared would take longer but recovery has gone really well and quick for myself and I’m happy everything has gone to plan.’
On playing under Chelsea legend Frank Lampard, Hudson-Odoi added: ‘He’s a top manager, I’ve said it since the start. He’s there’ he’s giving youth a chance, he’s said if we work hard and believe in ourselves we’ll get the chance so that’s what we’re trying to do.
‘Everyone is more positive now in the camp, all the young players have been boosted by him coming, he’s says a lot of things that will make the young boys want to work hard, make them push themselves to get to the first-team.’
