Maurizio Sarri is urging Juventus to sign Jorginho and Emerson Palmieri from Chelsea, according to reports.
The 60-year-old has left Stamford Bridge to return to Serie A and has signed a three-year contract with Juventus. Sarri guided Chelsea to a third-place finish in the Premier League and he ended the season by winning the first trophy of his career as his side beat Arsenal in the Europa League final.
But Chelsea supporters were not fully satisfied with Sarri’s management and failed to warm to the Italian’s style of play.
One key change Sarri insisted upon was to oust N’Golo Kante from his role at the heart of Chelsea’s midfield and replace the World Cup winner with Jorginho, who followed Sarri from Napoli to Stamford Bridge in a £57 million deal.
According to The Times, Sarri now wants to bring Jorginho with him to Juventus to help implement his playing style with the Serie A champions. The report also claims that Sarri is keen for Juve to sign Emerson from Chelsea.
The 24-year-old struggled for playing time at the start of the season under Sarri but as the campaign progressed the Italy international was preferred to the Spaniard and ended up starting in the Europa League final against Arsenal.
When asked about his future last week, Emerson said: ‘I’m happy at Chelsea, we won the Europa League and I am calm. I didn’t receive any call, I am happy here. There is nothing to say, I am focused on Chelsea.’
