Chelsea midfielder Jorginho’s agent Joao Santos has added to the speculation linking his client with a summer move to Serie A champions Juventus by suggesting “the door remains open” despite playing for their arch rivals Napoli previously.
The Serie A club has endured a tough debut season at Stamford Bridge following his move from the Partenopei, and the 27-year-old midfielder has recently been rumoured with a move to Juventus.
And according to Italian station Radio Marte, Santos has not ruled a move to Juventus out this summer.
“Jorginho had a terrific season, he played in 50 games and was very good. Even if Jorginho does have Napoli ties, he can’t say that he won’t play for a certain team because of this. He is a professional so it’s normal that the door remains open for Juve.”
Blues under-fire head-coach Maurizio Sarri has also been rumoured to be a transfer target for Juventus, who are in search of a new boss after Massimiliano Allegri has announced his decision to depart from Allianz Stadium this summer.
With Eden Hazard already joining Real Madrid, losing another key member of the squad could be devastating for Chelsea if FIFA ignores their appeal over a transfer ban.
