Chelsea veteran linked with Stamford Bridge exit as West Ham prepare move

West Ham United are reportedly weighing up a move for Chelsea goalkeeper Willy Caballero.

Lukasz Fabianski started in each of West Ham’s 38 Premier League fixtures this season, while deputy stopper Adrian will leave the London Stadium this summer.

According to the London Evening Standard, that has resulted in Manuel Pellegrini taking an interest in signing Caballero on a free transfer.

The pair have previously worked together at Malaga and Manchester City, while a bigger chance of regular first-team football may also appeal to Caballero.

Chelsea are however said to be contemplating a new one-year deal for the 37-year-old, who has made just eight appearances in all competitions during the current campaign.

Meanwhile, the Blues are in real danger of losing their top target David Neres from Ajax to Liverpool as the Reds head coach Jurgen Klopp is desperate to sign the young Brazilian ahead of Arsenal and Chelsea.

The 22-year-old attacker has enjoyed another stunning season for Champions League semi-finalists Ajax, netting 11 goals and registering ten assists in all competitions.

Neres’ impressive displays have attracted the attention of a number of Premier League clubs, with London duo Chelsea and Arsenal both interested in securing his signature.
