Eden Hazard worried as he fears Chelsea will force him to stay at club

According to the latest reports, Chelsea superstar Eden Hazard is worried the Blues will force him to stay at Stamford Bridge for one more season.

The former Lille ace is understood to be keen on a move to Real Madrid and told Chelsea board of his decision last week. Hazard wanted to leave after last summer’s World Cup but it was Maurizio Sarri who convinced the Belgian to stay for another season to get Chelsea back into the Champions League.

The 28-year-old winger has fulfilled his side of the deal but Roman Abramovich’s club have since been issued with a two-window transfer ban and will not be able to sign a replacement for Hazard should they agree a £100m deal with Madrid.

Belgium international expected the club to respect his wishes but the Daily Mirror claim he now fears they’ll pull the plug on his move to the Spanish capital if the Court of Arbitration for Sport turn down Chelsea’s appeal.

It is believed that Chelsea could keep Eden Hazard for a further year before allowing him to leave in 2020 at the end of his contract.

The 20-year-old Christian Pulisic was signed for £58m in January from Borussia Dortmund but Chelsea hoped the American would play alongside Hazard rather than as his replacement.
