Chelsea dealt transfer blow in race for 26-year-old Spanish superstar

According to the reports, Chelsea target and Real Madrid playmaker Isco wants to remain at Santiago Bernabeu after the return of three times Champions League winning manager Zinedine Zidane.

The Spaniard has been the subject of intense transfer rumours in the last year and was reportedly close to finalising a move to Chelsea in January.

The Blues direct Premier League rivals Manchester United too have been credited with a strong interest in Isco, however, it appears the appointment of Zinedine Zidane has convinced the Spaniard to remain at Santiago Bernabeu.

Marca reported that although Zidane is yet to come to his own decision over Isco’s future player himself is keen on to remain at Real Madrid and work with the French manager.

As a result, Spanish playmaker will turn down any offers to move this summer as he only keen on to play for the Los Blancos.

Serie A champions are believed to be tracking the creative midfielder. However, Isco believes he can rediscover his best form under Zidane.

The 26-year-old star was a vital part for the Los Blancos manager in his first spell at Madrid and has found back of the net twice in the three La Liga games Zidane has overseen since making a return.

Frenchman is keen for a big overhaul of his squad this summer and Chelsea forward Eden Hazard has been on top of his wishlist.

However, the speculation of potential new signings has not deterred the Spaniard, as Isco is also keen to stay in Spain to be close to his family and ready to snub both Chelsea and Manchester United.
