Eintracht Frankfurt forward Luka Jovic’s father has revealed that he will turn down interest from the likes of Chelsea and Barcelona and Chelsea in order to remain at Bundesliga.
The 21-year-old forward is one of the hottest prospects on the continent after founding back of the net 25 times in all competitions for Bundesliga club this season.
Jovic has scored five goals in one game against Dusseldorf earlier this season and bagged the winner away to Serie A giants Inter Milan in the last 16 of the Europa League games, while also chipping in with half a dozen assists in the process.
Spanish champions Barcelona are rumoured to have targeted the Serbia international as they see him as an ideal replacement for Luis Suarez, and the player’s father Milan Jovic confirmed that the Catalan club have approached for his signature.
“Luka has had many offers – one of them was Barcelona, but he’s not interested now,” he told Bild. “He isn’t sure he would get any minutes at Barcelona. The truth is that Luka wants to stay in the Bundesliga and qualify with Eintracht for the Champions League.”
Serian attacker has also been touted as a top transfer target for Liverpool, Manchester United, Real Madrid Manchester City and Bayern Munich.
Chelsea have already finalised signing of another Bundesliga star Christian Pulisic earlier in January, however, he has remained at Borussia Dortmund for the rest of the season and will join the club in the summer.
